That's a good lookin' toaster
-
Huckberry is such a trip.

-
@veearrrsix My wife got me a robe from there, so flippin nice. Pretty sure she's getting tired of me whispering "luxury" when I put it on
-
@veearrrsix I've been thinking about buying this one, but it's just too silly huge:

I need them to make a 4 slice version instead of this 9-slicer.
And most other premium toasters are excessively concerned with how many full chickens you can fit in, and I really don't need more than 0. I do have an actual oven if I need more space. -
@veearrrsix if you're gonna get a toaster over, make it a Breville Smart Oven. Best TO I've ever used.
Of course the real best toaster is this:
-
The FlashXpress from Panafonics is my favorite. Double infrared heating, FTW. I live alone so a small one like this is my jam.
-
-
@essextee
We had a Breville like you posted. All I got was complaining from the fam about how it took to toast. I liked it though. -
@facw I think many of these are for people in urban places without ovens, for hunting shacks, RVs etc etc etc.
-
@ssfancy I was not expecting an actual toaster or the load of comments discussing toasters. Solid shocker of the day
-
@tysmagic Yeah, for real. Toaster chat.
-
@carsoffortlangley truly! And so we can keep it going I'm with @EssExTee in camp Breville
-
@tysmagic same.
-
@essextee We had one of those automatic sunbeam toasters when I was a kid. Neat, but you have to be ready to pull the plug when the toast starts to burn!
-
I have this toaster!
Wife bought it. The main benefit as I can see is you dump a tiny thing of water in it and it steams your food as it cooks.
-
@veearrrsix The Panasonic FlashXpress is my favorite. It's not super pretty but it's durable, fast, and easy.
-
@essextee I got my parents a Breville and they love it. They do a significant part of their cooking in it (especially right now while their kitchen is being remodeled). Also they frequently accidentally melted stuff on top of their toaster (really not a good place to store bags bread/muffins/etc. even if you do usually want to toast them), so the optional cutting board that goes on top and prevents that carelessness was very welcome.
-
-
@tysmagic you were expecting a tastefully modified Scion XB?
-

This is Bad Toaster -
@tripper And now I want a robe to annoy my wife with, too!
-
@veearrrsix I should get a toaster oven, seems like it could be useful. Why wait for the whole big oven to heat up just to reheat one slice of pizza?
True story - my dad has been complaining for the past 30 years about not being allowed to have one, as my mom thinks it would clutter the counter too much, me buying one and demonstrating the utility might help him out
-
@mr-ontop Robe game, get in on it. I've got a winter one too from LL Bean. It's cozy but not as easy to annoy my wife with
-
@ranwhenparked I don't have a microwave for that exact reason. It took up too much space on my limited counter area so I got rid of it. A toaster oven was actually much more useful when I was making meals at home from scratch.
-
@veearrrsix or a Ford Flex
