@just-jeepin I wonder what those quotation marks meant back in the day? If I saw a modern ad using that kind of punctuation, I'd get the sense that the 'Jeep' they were selling was a fake product. But what did it mean back then? Were they in the process of introducing customers to 'Jeep' as its own official name, clarifying in print that it's not just slang for GP (General/Government Purpose)?
Also, interesting that 'Jeep' gets single quotation marks here, while "dog-leg" gets double ones...

@urambo-tauro Honestly I’m not sure. Willys was using that before they got the Jeep trademark, IIRC, and apparently after based on this brochure.
