@forsweden Wow, I'm surprised he backed down, doesn't seem his style. I would have assumed he'd fight it out until they removed him, and then he'd go on TV for some Trump style ranting. Good to see him go regardless.

@dogisbadob How exactly to handle an anchor who clearly is too close to the story is a hard question but its pretty clear CNN hasn't handled it well. To be honest, I think that probably falls on Chris Cuomo's bosses rather than him. It's obvious that he was going to be compromised on these topics, and I think it's more on them rather than on him to fix it.

But yeah, we don't really need dynastic politicians, and we certainly don't need ones of dubious merit like Cuomo.

I agree CNN handled it poorly, but Chris Cuomo is equally responsible and should've recused himself and asked CNN to either take a leave of absence or to give him another assignment (west coast, international news, etc)

Before the pandemic, CNN did indeed have a policy to not allow Chris Cuomo from covering his brother.

I know when the city council here in the Burgh renamed the 6th, 7th and 9th Street Bridges (commonly called the Three Sisters, as they're all the same design), you'll almost never hear locals use the official names.
