Central AL - 2000 Lexus SC300

I’m putting my SC300 project car up for anyone interested. It’s a 2000 Imperial Jade Mica car over tan interior. Notable options from the factory include the moonroof and deck lid spoiler.
I had a lot of plans for this car but I’ve just lost a lot of interest in fixing it, plus a lot of personal issues have led to me having very little time to devote to it. It’s better for me to move on.
-To my knowledge, I am the third owner of the car
-The body and undercarriage are in great overall shape with no rust
-The 2JZ-GE runs with no signs of stopping any time soon
-The car only has 107,000 miles on the clock
-Only 600 SC300s were built in 2000, so it could be a valuable investment for the right buyer
-The car very badly needs new shocks in the rear
-The paint is very faded and the front splitter is badly scuffed
-The left side tail lamp has a poor seal, so condensation does form inside. I do have a replacement though
-It leaks, but what old Toyota doesn’t?
-The engine still needs some TLC, namely the timing belt and a possible vacuum leak.
-There was a minor fender bender in its history, but it was fixed. Carfax will also tell you this car was in Louisiana during Katrina, but I checked every inch thoroughly and there is no evidence of this car ever being flooded.
-The car has a clog in the fuel line that makes it impossible to fill, it may need a thorough cleaning of the fuel system. It doesn’t stop the car from running or driving but I recommend bringing a trailer.
I assure you though this car can be saved and will be a collector’s item when finished. I just can’t personally handle it anymore. I would love for this car to go to someone on Oppo
$4500 obo. Any questions are welcome.

@daftryosuke While I'm devastated and heartbroken to see it go, I think you're making the right decision. Hopefully the next owner loves it as much as you did.

I'd absolutely love to take over this, and I hate to see it go as well. Because I'll vouch for it being a solid car for its age and I'm an automotive hypochondriac. Unfortunately, I am not the home for it either right now and I completely understand the burnout.

@daftryosuke Sad to see this go...it's been a main staple on Oppo for ages! But out of curiosity, did you make a post on main Oppo about the sale?
You're allowed to make a post there to bring attention to this ad, and it might get other Oppos interested that missed the post here!

@daftryosuke If I still lived there, I might take you up on that.

@daftryosuke I love these cars, especially in that color. Too bad this is not a good first car for a teen.

I've always liked these. If I was near you and also was looking for a weekend cruiser (which I'm not), I'd consider it. I rate this a NP.

@daftryosuke How bad of an idea would it be to fly out there and drive it back to Oklahoma? Also where are you located exactly?

@jmkarstetter If you can solve the fuel issue then I could see it making it back to OK, I still recommend renting a Uhaul or something.
About an hour south of Birmingham in Montevallo.

@daftryosuke That's a reasonable price and I hope it finds a good home. Echoing what others have said, I'd buy this myself but the cost of shipping to Ca is $2200 (because I was serious enough to check)
