@krustywantout @i86hotdogs curious as well as we are getting a redbone coonhound puppy as soon as the rescue releases him from his surgery/recovery… little fella had a rough first few months of life.

@jeepoftheseus Those are cool hounds. I want a dog but I don't think I can deal with the hair and smell. A friend had a Cane corso and it was the worst smelling dog I've ever been around. My kids piano teacher has a lab and again, I can't be around it.

@krustywantout with allergies I’m essentially smell blind but the hair is always a nuisance with any critter.

@krustywantout Bloodhound. Certified purebred too! Previous owners paid a good amount of dollar for him during the pandemic, and couldn't take care of him anymore when work started back up

Interesting... my neighbors have one and I don't think he smells bad at all. He does drool A LOT, which is kind of gross. But he's a sweet boy.

If you are allergic and don't like the hair or smell, you could always get a poodle cross. They are basically hypoallergenic and don't shed much.

@krustywantout they don't smell that bad when you bathe them semi-regularly. I would definetly reccomend the various english/scottish terrier breeds, many are hypoallergenic and everyone we know has had good experiences. They don't shed much at all.
