I really can't stand Tavarish. I thought he was a turd when he was at Jalopnik and I think he's a bigger one now that he's a youtuber (vomits). Not to mention he's pretty much universally looked down upon in the auto journalist realm.
-
@carsoffortlangley you're forgetting this:
-
@ricerocketeer I very much remember that.
-
@ricerocketeer Never forget.
What an asshole...
-
@carsoffortlangley Well now. I was sitting there and basically tolerating this video and knowing zero about Tavarish/Hernandez. And anyhow, what's he's doing with this Beemer hardly seems worth the effort. I shall respect your scorn.
-
@boredalways I'd rate that as more trouble than it's worth. And that's a lot of Beamer to push around with a mere 215 horsepower.
-
@carsoffortlangley I should say, I shall honor your scorn...
-
@RiceRocketeer I did not know that, thanks for sharing.
-
@rusty-vandura Honour you mean lol
-
@carsoffortlangley Can I get some pooh-teen with that?
-
@rusty-vandura I fucking love poutine, also yes it's honour, labour, harbour, colour, favourite, and
-
@bloody-the-resident-shitposting-saffer I'll have to try that sometime if I ever make it to Cannuckistan.
-
@carsoffortlangley
Lol. -
@boredalways
I would think you could kill off all the roaches by leaving the car parked in the sun on a hot day... or parked outside in the cold on a cold winter night.I've never seen a car that had a roach problem like this one has.
-
@manwich A friend of mine used to manage a Hertz branch in Florida, they had that happen to a few of their cars, which ended up sitting in an unpaved overflow lot for months while he argued with his boss for permission to hire an exterminator.
-
In most cases, I understand why he might be attracted to the cars he buys. This is not one of them, put in all that effort just to wind up with an ordinary old BMW that wasn't terribly good new from the factory.
-
@manwich Nope. Not even a nuclear holocaust could make them extinct. He would have been better off placing several roach foggers inside and underneath the car even after stripping the interior, before driving it into his shop. Now he's going to have roaches in his shop.
And by the looks of some of Oppo's comments, I believe this is called Schadenfreude
-
@boredalways said in CODE BROWN*:

Well there is something better than nuclear holocaust to get rid of roaches... Diatomaceous Earth:
https://cockroachfacts.com/diatomaceous-earth-roaches/Just dust the interior with that stuff, and dust around the vehicle, wait a week and the problem is solved. Just have to vaccuum up the dust after that.
-
@ranwhenparked One of the great joys of leaving Florida meant never having to deal with giant flying roaches (aka Palmetto bugs) again.
Also, this is apparently sometimes an issue with rental fleets in Hawaii too.
