Does your car have a commercial?
-
Seeing the amazing 90s car commercials in the Pontiac Appreciation thread got me wondering—any cool commercials for your specific vehicle ? I’ll start:
-
@OhCrikeyTheRozzers
Nope. Hardly anyone knows my car exists. -
Its a long one:
for the other car, GM had mostly quit advertising the Camaro by 2014, don't know that I've seen one.
-
@ohcrikeytherozzers Oh yeah.
-
-
This one was cute.
-
This is for the wrong gen, I don't have the "cool step thing"
But I had to share that one because of the "cool step thing"
The ones for the first gen were cooler
-
Ich lieb dich nicht, du liebst mich nicht, da da da
That song is so gorram catchy, and that's even before the Casiotone comes out.
-
@ohcrikeytherozzers I've never seen one, but I found some on Youtube:
Can't say I remember any of these (maybe the pizza one, that feels vaguely familiar). My car is closest to the 2.5T in the bobsled one. Seems like they didn't advertise the facelift models heavily at all though.
The last one, trying to send the message that Volvos are no longer boxy is interesting to look at, but probably not a great commercial.
-
@ohcrikeytherozzers Before zoom-zoom, there was this:
-
@ohcrikeytherozzers It does, and it’s the best commercial
-
My DD, only in silver. -
-
@ohcrikeytherozzers Oh yes, there are ads. The words “super hugger” are uttered.
-
@musashi66 Stellantis North America's history would have been very different if they had kept on turning out ads like that
-
Bree Larson!
-
@alfalfa I love the name “cool step thing”. I demand more car features be named like this
-
@ranwhenparked It was such an awesome ad. They do spit out cool ads for their sporty cars but nothing compared to this one.
-
-
I don't even own a TV, so I had to search YouTube to see if I could find something. The model year is slightly off, but it's the same car and even the same color as mine.

No video because fewer people had TVs back then.
-
@ohcrikeytherozzers There are a number of these on YT, none seem to be in English:
MB doesn't advertise my modern car in this market.
-
@chariotoflove That's a mark of good luxury imo
-
Good idea. I'd never even thought to look for an ad. I expect I'll use the phrase 'Comfortably in command" more often now.
