What is the highest price someone on your local CL has a GTX 3060/3060 Ti listed for?
I'm seeing double MSRP or more than some scalpers dared ask for 3070 variants.
-
My local CL has exactly 1 graphics card listing, and it's for a couple of 6 year old cards.
-
highest priced GTX? $54,500
for the computer thingy, $700 -
I just do not understand people. 4 generation old video cards are selling like mad for 9/10 of original price like 8-10 years ago. Now newly released low level card are going for the better part of a grand up from base MSRP of $400. This might be halfway entertaining if it wasn't so sad.

Which reminds me it is probably a good time to throw my old RX590 up on eBay or the local list o'Craig.
-
I was really surprised at the prices used cards were fetching when I was building my new machine back in June. I ended up buying a Radeon R9 290 (or something like that) for $60 CAD.
-
@nomdeplume Okay, nobody is allowed to post on this thread unless they are folding for TEAM OPPOSITELOCK, okay?
-
No 3060's near me. There is a 3090 for $2,200 though. I had to help a co-worker find an affordable video card to finish his build the other day. Ended up driving 4hrs to pick up a used 1080 from a guy who had a couple and was using them doing modeling in openCL for the med industry. My 2/yo video card has somehow gone up in price too. Who would of thunk video cards were such good investments?
-
was thinking of upgrading to a 30 series card but seeing as nowhere has any stock except for scalpers on the bay of e, I shall stick with my 1080 and gave it some watercooling to enhance performance to make up for lack of new card

@Rusty-Vandura Folding?
That's a bold statement given the subject matter
@ITA97 Selling?
Ask 4x times the most you think you could get and take crappy pics. Should disappear in a half hour or less.
-
@nomdeplume Well, I don't know about bold, but if it was my post, it might be dumb... I think if you're talking GPUs, you ought to be folding.
-
@samv8 Are you folding?

@thebarber Are you folding?

@rusty-vandura
I am. -
@nomdeplume $700:
RTX 3060ti $700 (Arlington)Looks like 3070s are listed at ~$750.
Either way, I'm certainly not spending that sort of money for one of these. Frankly I'm increasingly feeling like I might do best wait until next year when I'm sure there will be a good performance boost from the process shrink (Apple is currently gobbling up all of TSMC's 5nm process, but one assumes they'll have more capacity sometime in the next year).

Not that I'm not using it daily or anything, but I'm guessing the high-end Sapphire 5700XT I upgraded to back in February probably hasn't depreciated much.
-
@thebarber That is the correct answer. And thank you.

@rusty-vandura
I notice that the team 261120 Oppositelock link still points to Kinja. Did I join a dead team or can that be changed? -
@thebarber The team number is the same. Let me update that.
-
@rusty-vandura I am not, my pc is in my bedroom and can't sleep with the noise + lights of it running
-
@Rusty-Vandura In the most polite and assuring manner I'm going to ask you to desist immediately. Go tend to your pet project in one of the multiple other conversations devoted, 'curated', and highly politicized through your acts of electioneering.
Thank you for your understanding in this and all other matters.

This all comes on the heels of a multi-billion international suit against the cabal orchestrating consumer trade fraud in the tech sector. Price fixing, false reporting on and manipulation of stock levels, it just goes on and on to the point these execs should be doing time instead of shrugging off a weeks interest on the years of profit.
-
@samv8 Uses a lot of electricity, too.
-
No current generation graphics cards on my local CL, but we do have a listing for a Playstation 5 for $1700.
