Picked up these ugly yet awesome bois for 20 bucks. I bought them for my wife hoping she'd like them, seemed with the risk. Well she doesn't like them.
She LOVES them!
Well... That's it.

@dr-zoidberg Nice score!
My wife won't anything used and upholstered into the house.

@dr-zoidberg My grandparents had a bunch of chairs similar to that, always wondered where they went. I think most of the stuff in that house went into the dumpster, for good reasons, after what my uncle did to it after she moved into a nursing home with Alzheimer's.
I don't hate the look, might change the fabric, but they do have some style to them.

@shop-teacher We are selectively inconsistent with our tastes and standards regarding used furniture and their materials. I liked our old leather chairs much better but she hated them. I don't give a shit, as they were free, and I have a boss mission chair in my office so whatever happens in the rest of the home is of no concern to me.

Nice! I really want a mission chair someday.
I'm with you on that sentiment. In talking to my siding guy, he asked me if we wanted a dark grey. My response was, "I want whatever grey makes my wife happy."
