Oh did I need that
-
My wife is attending some conference as part of her residency, and I had a morning to kill, so it was time for a drive. I had planned out the route before hand and sent it to myself.
Started off on NC-215, which is one of my favorite roads, then turned onto the blue ridge parkway, then onto this fantastic piece of asphalt:
I had both NC-215 and NC-151 to myself and had a wonderful time. Stopped on the blue ridge parkway to quickly snap this:
Define out in a much better mood after the stress of waiting on interview results. Really needed that. Reminds me I need to drive the M3 more. -

@e90m3 That's a great loop! Pisgah Hwy looks like a dream. It's cool that there was no one around to spoil the fun too.
And as always, the ME is a looker.

@whoistheleader as long as you're not being impeded by someone in an SUV, it's a great time. Would recommend a trip to anyone with a halfway decent car. I chased some miatas in my e92 back in late 2018, and it was such a great time.

@e90m3 Glad for you, that looks like a dream of a drive! Point A to Point A is the best.

@e90m3 Most of the decent driving roads near me are full of slowpokes in crossovers. And some aggressive locals. This spot is usually quite clear but is regrettably short.

It seems you have a plethora of unimpeded miles through fun corners. You should take advantage of it more often.

@whoistheleader Were in town for the weekend, but it's only around 90 minutes away.

The best roads are the ones that look like your small intestine. I wish we had old mountains like those to drive around down here in TX.
