@ttyymmnn Ha, my wife and Amelia Earheart share a birthday.
-
@skyfire77 I knew somebody would catch that, and figured it would be you.
-
@ttyymmnn Especially being I did the same shtick on Oppo That Was with the Flights of Fantasy series back in September.
That's a nice pic of the construction though, I had no idea MiG built planes like Morgan does their three-wheelers!
-
That MiG-31 in mid-construction looks like they're building a Blackbird.
Just ran across this

I would love to know what this was supposed to be, because I can't make heads or tails of it. Is that a reentry body (if so, it's heug!)? Are they shipping a ICBM/Launcher by sea (Why the Cone of Shame then?)?
-
@vincentmalamute Skyrocket! That aircraft eventually ended up being the Tigercat. I wrote a piece about that a/c back on old Oppo/Wingspan. I'm in the process of reposting my old Wingspan pieces here and on DT, so maybe I'll do that one next.
-
@ttyymmnn I was kinda thinking I could sneak an unknown past you. I should've known I'd fail. Can't remember how or where I ran across that F5F - was new to me.

I get it's just a concept drawing, but that's wild. Turbofans on the Shuttle would make re-entry...uh, interesting.

@skyfire77
Mig also appears to be building it in America looking at the two trucks there.
Lol.

@highlander your wife is 97yo?
