Rex lives in the parts department of the dealership I looked at yesterday and I love him.

Yesterday was a pretty frustrating day overall and it was nice to take a minute in the middle of work to hang out with this cool little dude. I just hope he gets a bath at some point - he doesn’t need to be ingesting all the filth on his feet.

Give me all the β€˜70s Datsuns, β€˜80s Toyotas, and β€˜90s Hondas.

What a guy! Spending a few minutes with an animal is really therapeutic. Our mastiff gives really great hugs.

@smobgirl I wish we could add a cat to our household. For years, we thought our daughter was allergic to them. When we had her tested, it came back negative and we made a trip to look at rescue cats. We found a perfect little kitten and my daughter was in love. Then we handed the kitten to our son to hold. Within a minute, he had huge welts on his skin where the kitten had grabbed on. Then he started sneezing.

All this time we thought our daughter was allergic. We never considered that our son might be too. She isn't, but he definitely is.

Shop cats can have it rough. They do a great job taking care of rodents and in return they get nothing but filth. You're right, they shouldn't be licking their feet after walking around a shop floor.

Never discount the possibility that you might live through it.

I didn’t realize there were so many hypoallergenic breeds. When I was a kid, we had lots of different cats, none of which were purebred.

I knew about rex rabbits, but I didn’t know there is a rex cat!

At least this one had an elevator! Most dealerships I’ve seen here have two-story parts storage. The other one I saw on this trip only had stairs and human power to move stuff.

So much floof! When I was a kid, a calico cat adopted us. She was pregnant and had her litter a couple of weeks later. It was a comical collection of kittens. Two of them grew up to be white and black floof balls like the siberian. The male of that pair was gigantic, but his sister was petite. Another was seal-point like a siamese. One was a calico and another an orange tabby.

It wasn't until a grew up a bit that I realized our cat got around before she came to live with us.

Haha! Maybe dad cat was a Maine Coon? They look like Siberians somewhat, but can be HUGE.

Our neighbours had a more normal sized Maine Coon named 'Snikkers', but for a normal sized cat, he was a pretty chonky boi! Sadly he passed away a few years ago 😞
