My 2010 Crown Vic CVPI. I went out to get in and take it to my friend's equipment yard so that a guy could install the 3.55 LSD rear end I had for it, along with all new arms and links, and it wasn't there. Right when I bought the car, a Panther-obsessed Oppo warned me that I should buy a Club for it. I'm not out a great heap of money on this thing. Indeed, my plan was to see what difference the 3.55 rear end made to acceleration over the 3.55 made over the 3.27 that was in there, smoke a little bit of rubber on both wheels, then price the thing to sell and get rid of it. The sheriff's deputy who took the report felt confident that the car would turn up eventually. My pal who runs a repair shop says yes, but with the catalytic converters missing.
Crap.
I don't even have a good picture of it. Fully driveable, currently smogged and registered, only about 43,000 miles on it.
Crap.

Ouch, that sucks. I hate that feeling of helplessness and betrayal when some stranger violates you like that.
-
I gotta write two Awe man within a week?
Awe man
-
That is terrible! Lowest form of life steals someones car. Hopefully it's recovered quickly and with no damage.
Make sure to keep us updated! -
well shit. times might be tough and all...but...ah screw it, people suck.
good luck, hope it's found intact. -
@rusty-vandura Ugh! Ass-hats!
-
That royally sucks, sorry.
-
@rusty-vandura I hate thieves! I've never had a car stolen, but we did have someone break into our house and steal our TV and a camera. There wasn't anything else of value they could find. The camera had pictures of my grandfather before his strokes. Those were the only thing we really missed.

-
@rusty-vandura Well that sucks.
Still kinda miss mine but not driving it in winter.
Fyi the 3.55 gear didn't seem to make much difference in mine. -
@vondon302 I was afraid 3.71 would be too short on the highway.
-
@rusty-vandura bummer to hear that. I would love that gear set until I realized what it did to my fuel economy. The 2.73 or whatever mine has gets around 30 mpg.

With the powerband mine had your probably right.
Would of made for a good rallycross set up. -
@italia I think that would be 3.27:1
-
@vondon302 It's a highly robust and dependable conveyance, but terribly underpowered.
-
Sorry man, that sucks big time. I didn't even know you had a crown vic. Getting your property stolen or messed with is one of the biggest hits to to the soul.
-
@rusty-vandura should have mentioned mine is a mercury so the 2.73 is standard.
-
@italia That might be the tallest final gearing I've ever heard of. Perfect if you want to go 150 mph on the Autobahn.
-
Oh damn, that sucks. I hope youβre compensated fairly for it.
-
That sucks. Just plain sucks.
-
Aw crap. Sorry man. Never had a car jacked but I had one broken into once and that sucked enough. This would have me spitting fire
-
@rusty-vandura yeah it's crazy slow but I get 30mpg at 80 on the freeway so shrug
-
@Rusty-Vandura Sorry to hear that. That feeling of violation of your personal space is the worst.

Hadn't heard of the 2.73! I thought the 3.11 in my Transit was tall. You don't notice the tall (relatively) gearing with the 3.5 Ecoboost though.
-
@vincentmalamute I did not have a lot of emotional investment in that car, other than regret for having bought it. Still, I was hoping to get like $1,500 out of it, which would have been nice to replace about half of what I've spent on it. Maybe it'll turn up and still be driveable and maybe I can still get some $100s out of it.

@rusty-vandura club doesn't do jack except give the crook levarage to break your steering lock
