      Ah, the Porsche Configurator.

      We all love loading it up, picking our favorite Porsche model, and thinking to ourselves "just how far can we push up the price this time around?".

      Here is one of those cars!

      This beautiful Sport Turismo 4S is the most well optioned I've ever seen. The MSRP for this one comes in at $195k!

      And it's not even a GTS or Turbo!

      With an asking price on eBay of $103k, I'd say this one is damn good depreciation deal, especially considering it'll be under warranty for a couple more years.

        Is it a good depreciation deal if it's just going to lose another $30k over the next couple years before it goes up for sale again?

          Well, most cars always depreciate, so I guess it depends on your budget and how long you plan to keep it.

            @saracen @flatisflat The problem is where does it end. You can get a 6-year old Panamera for like 30k, but then you can get an even old car for less, and on and on you go. This slippery slope is why I never end up with anything nice or modern. It's okay to draw the line at a mere $105k (as long as it's not me!)

              @dr-zoidberg exactly. Just buy at the price point at which you're comfortable.

                When I've shopped for cars the last 2 times around, I checked 5-year-old used prices for the models I was considering buying new... just to make sure i wasn't too insane for buying a car off the lot. Even though I told myself and my wife, "go ahead, don't worry about the depreciation" I'm pretty convinced the best deal strictly monetarily is to get a 2k POS and just feed it parts.

                  Is it bad that I wish the Panamera sold better so that I could pick one up cheap after a few years?

                    Yo, 50k miles on a 2018 $200k wagon Porsche? That person rules.

                        How about a Turbo for $90k?

                        Or a CPO E-Hybrid for $68k?

                          @saracen Incredible...

                          I will own one (at $50k or less).

                          Mrs. addiction would probably love it.
