Well I'll wish you all goodnight.

I say I'll wish you all goodnight but I may not be sleeping much and end up browsing OPPO again.
June I was told I was pre-diabetic, August, after losing a lot of weight and changing my diet and changing job within the store and taking a 25% pay cut due to reduced hour availability, etc... I was given the all clear but tomorrow I have to go back in for my three month check up and have a load of bloods taken again.
I hope it comes back as okay, I've changed so much of my life around to then go into December as diabetic. I think that would really top me off and just say, 'screw you world!'. -
Good luck!

Those are some major changes - well done and good luck!

Good luck!

Hope it all comes back clear! Mom was told she was 'pre-diabetic' a few years ago, and then the next time they checked her she wasn't any form of diabetic....she still eats as if she is pre-diabetic though. But I guess that's a positive thought that they don't always get it right!

@svend I remember there was a speaker who said you need to treat your body like a car that you cannot replace. If you only had one car to drive for the rest of your life, you're going to maintain it, use the best gas and oil, and make sure it's running in perfect condition. That's easier said than done but if we give our bodies the focus we give our cars, then it's not that hard.
Best of luck and your body is still better off now than it was before so don't lose site of that progress!

Nothing but good vibes are being sent your way pal
-
@svend I'm so glad you took your health seriously. We need you around for a long life. Good luck tomorrow.
Would it be tacky for us all to have a poll to guess your glucose numbers tomorrow?
-
@svend Goodluck.
-
@svend good luck, you have to take these things seriously, my great aunt had diabetes and it was a hard time for her.
-
@krustywantout I have treated my body like a company work van. This year it has started to catch up. Womp womp.
-
Good luck!
-
@svend Good luck. It sounds like you worked your arse off changing things!
-
Good luck! You worked hard on this so I’m positive you’ll do well.
-
@svend I bet they'll be fine. If you've made those kind of changes, that is a very winnable battle. Best of luck mate!

@chariotoflove
Cheers mate.
my pre-diabetic result was 55 back in June, and late August it was 41.
Apparently the medical professionals do it differently than the public. -
@highlander
Ye', I know a few diabetics, many still don't take it seriously.
One who did was my Step-father's university friends. I grew up watching her go down hill from a bubbly active person, to someone losing their site, losing energy to do anything, turning blind, complete loss of motivation and ended up just sitting in the corner of the living room ticking off the days.
Not nice. -
Thank you everyone. It's appreciated.
I've had a good sleep,
My appointment is in six hours.
The nurse, Lisa, aka the vampiress, lol, is a great nurse and it's always a pleasure seeing her.
Hopefully it'll be all good.
Thanks again for all the best wishes. -
