The 4Runner is safe, but my wife's Grand Cherokee is on there.

No Jaguars or Land Rovers on the list! Impressive! /s

I find it odd that the 15-16 Chevy Trax is listed, but not the 15-16 Buick Encore. They are mechanically the same car.

Current stable: 2015 WRX Limited, 1987 Fiero GT,
Past cars: 1990 Eagle Talon TSi, 1990 Plymouth Laser RS Turbo, 1982 Pontiac J2000 (my first) and many others I don't want to talk about.......

@davesaddiction Valve spring recall. Then when the dealer does the repair they screw up the cylinder head oil passages making your motor grenade.

And you may ask yourself, "Where does that highway go to?"

So nobody should buy a full size truck? That's like 90% of new car sales these days.

Probably depends on the trim level - I would assume the same unit would be available in the upper trim levels of both units.

But other than some minor cosmetics, they are identical. My daughter and SIL have a '15 Encore (mid trim AWD) and it's a nice little car.

I had a 2012 Focus but those issues were with the DCG and I had the manual.

Everything else I've owned (except the 2015 Golf TDI) is too old to be on that list XD

@shoop Odd that the Passport is there but not the Pilot, when they're literally the same car. I wonder what criteria they're factoring into this?

@davesaddiction I think the recall was 2013 only.

@highlander I'm wondering if they factor depreciation into this. Pickups have the lowest depreciation of any segment, so they're not as good a used buy.

Maybe the different transmissions played a role.

@just-jeepin They're the same MSRP despite the Passport being smaller, so maybe they're just not considered as good a deal

@davesaddiction Pretty much. I take CR with a grain of salt. Their main readers and respondents are non car people who will rate faulty infotainment issues as equally severely as major mechanical problems.
