passing down the addiction...

My little guy still loves playing with Hot Wheels (this is an old photo), and my 13yo recently got into a NFS game with a buddy of his, so his car love and knowledge is growing again (had stalled out for a bit). My daughter still loves to go fast, and will play racing games with me sometimes, and points out cool cars on the street for me. I do need to get a wrench in their hands (and mine) more often - I'm looking forward to increasing my mechanical knowledge with them as they get closer to driving age (my oldest is already getting a feel for the clutch, driving my truck in the hay field).
I still get a few car mags - haven't quite gotten them to show much interest in those yet. #OldMan

I love that he ROY G BIV’d them.
-
My little girl and I do the same thing with her cars!
-
@chariotoflove Pretty sure that was my idea.
-
@tripper This is the way.

On my wish list:
-
That tire is looking a little low.....................
-
@trivet Yeah, that's why we traded it in for a bunk bed. Ha!
-
@davesaddiction Is that a Hotwheels bed? I hear grandchildren like Matchbox cars as well. I'll be testing that theory.
-
@davesaddiction oh shoot there's Nitrium.
That makes me happy to see, I was (and still am) a huge fan of the Highway 35/Acceleracers series. I've been wanting to do a little write up for oppo on that...
-
@davesaddiction I look at that and I think about dusting...
-
@rusty-vandura Yes it is! With built in track, working headlights, and car storage in the rear wing. A friend's kid is now loving it just as much as our little guy did.
-
@davesaddiction my did does the same thing he likes to organize his hot wheels by color, make, or country.
-
@hfv Love it!
-
@davesaddiction That's fun stuff. I've got toys I've been hoarding for 20 years and longer and now that I have a grandchild, I understand why I've been hording them. I can't wait to play with them with them.
-
@rusty-vandura Yes!! So glad you didn't get rid of them at some point.
-
@davesaddiction It always fascinates me how orderly young children can be. Then they turn into teenaged slobs.

@ttyymmnn Oh, he's orderly just like his dad. When he wants to be...
