He shoulda been famous

My wife found an old picture of her grandfather at the farm, beer in hand. Apparently the only time he didn’t have beer in hand was after dinner when he switched to gin and tonics.
Her brother turned it into a beer ad that should’ve been.

@kiltedpadre I can hear that jingle now, and I'll probably be hearing it for the rest of the day!

It's Friday, and I gotta go stock the fridge now... -
big mood

@kiltedpadre that is a great picture. I honestly thought for a second it was a real ad.
But it has put me in the mood - time to go check on the lab and then off to the Beach House for brewskies.

@snuze My father in law has been involved in art photography for a very long time. For a man that’s never done it as anything but a hobby I’ve seen a lot of work he could easily sell.

Ah yes, the weird 89 season where Mike Alexander (who finished out for hurt Bobby Allison in 88) made Daytona but was replaced by late 40s yr old Dick Trickle (pictured with Mike's car) afterwards due to his own injuries from a late 88 race. And he then became ROOKIE OF THE YEAR no less. -

I thought it was real for quite a few minutes and had to read @kiltedpadre 's post closely to figure it out. I thought he was saying his wife's grandfather was the actual model but then the polo and leisure slacks was discordant with this sentence tipping me off: "an old picture of her grandfather at the farm,"

@vincentmalamute The really funny part is my father in law wears those slacks when he needs to dress up.
