I mean... global pandemic etc etc etc, but still though. At the most generous that is one owner per 9 months.

Also this highlights my disagreement with Doug over how car photos should be taken, which is apparently in the shade. (We discussed it when ITA97 was selling his Pajero) In that light this looks like a white car with bad white balance on the photo.

EDIT: Ok read a little more. Apparently it was "too powerful" for the first owner and the second owner put ~3k miles on it since October 2020. Not sure that changes my opinion.

Part of the problem is it looks to have been an overcast day, but they had a wide open parking lot with no shade and parked right next to that single solitary tree that blocked the light. Maybe they wanted some kind of scenery but the car's in the shadows in all but 1 pic.

@houstonrunner that color is not, and never was, "available". It's a custom ordered color. Factory painted, yes. But custom mixed and ordered that way. There are special channels to go through to get that done, you can't just build one like on the website. I would bet my next paycheck there isn't another in the world in this color.

@ITA97 might be able to shed more light on it (lol) but I think that is the way the Dougslist people say you should take photos. It is wrong, but in this case I think the seller was just following orders. COUNTERPOINT: If I was trying to milk over $100k out of a vehicle I'd probably go ahead and throw a couple hundo at a local photographer/photography student to get some decent photos. A shallow depth of field and a polarizer would go a long way towards making this look like a $100k+ car.

It was a special color, available only in 2017, Celeste Blue. If one of these ever pops up, especially with a convertible roof... this car is Biposto badge and set of handles away from perfection.

I just don't see this car in this color as something for me. Especially with the solid black interior. Nice caramel interior would have helped tremendously. Even light gray.

Edit - are those seats black or black/gray? I can't tell.

@amgtech Is this a Designo Manufaktur color? (edit: I read the build sheet, it is) I don't keep up with all of them, as they seem to change every year, and most of them aren't especially appealing to me anyway. I like the subject car here, but I'll admit I'd like it more if it wasn't an AMG (which I think then restricts the colors even for custom builds).

My Designo Manufaktur color is "China Blue", a heritage color going back decades, and hard to tell in the pic, but should be about the same as my fintail, as later China Blue cars (not unknown on 123s and early 126s) appear the same. I think it's maybe a ~10K option. It can even be spec'd with a blue interior, just like the fintail. I think this might only be possible on a G. Make mine a de-blinged non-AMG G550, and I'll need to remove those braces, too:

@akioohtori Pretty much. Douglist asks you take pictures at a golden hour, or in the sage. I included both sun and shade pictures in the Pajero auction, just because it felt like the thing to do.
