Help me Oppo-wan Kenobi, you're my only hope!

@amgtech Green with black rood is clearly the best (blue/white is the runner up). Do wish it had a dark grill bar like the other black roof ones.
-
@amgtech Gotta be the blue.
-
@facw that is an easy change, I just kind of like hanging the grill bar and lettering tie in with the lower grill, otherwise the lower grill is the only bright silver thing.
-
Some color is better than no color, but bright colors are better than anything in that selection.
-
@amgtech I voted blue but I'm surprised how much I like the white.
-
@amgtech On this design the black roof kinda disappears and not in a good way. White roof all the way. If anyone's qualified to keep one of these on the road it's probably you so have at it.
-
@amgtech Blue/white, then green/white. White steels or silver alloys. It's got to be traditional. I do quite like Gondwana Stone, but I'd probably have that with a body colour roof. I don't like black wheels at all.
The Defender's colour palette is a bit weak overall. There's nothing bright and there are no solid 'heritage' colours, but there are about five finishes that would be best described as grayscale.

@amgtech I will always choose the white car.
I bought this haul of Milwaukee tools from my next door neighbor's garage sale for $160. I was thinking about buying a 3/8" M18 impact gun to go along with the batteries, but a number of Oppo blokes said I should just use the impact driver that's in this group of tools. Milwaukee says that particular M18 impact driver is rated up to 1500 inch-pounds of torque, which is not insignificant. There's an M18 sidewinder impact ratchet, but the torque rating is the same. I'd be curious to get your thoughts on this. I'm just a hobbyist. The guys are using the 1/4"-hex-shank-to-3/8"-drive-socket adapter and using 3/8" socketry on the tool that's shown in the picture. I would be inclined to use 1/4" sockets on that tool, generally. And now that I have the Hacksawl, I can snag some extra catalytic converters.
Any thoughts or suggestions?

@amgtech I like the white, but it'd be impossible to keep clean... That's either a good thing or a bad thing, as the car would always look like it's been in the mud no matter how tame the trails lol.
-
No red.
There was no option for "none of the above".
-
@amgtech
Me being a Cummerlan, it's a shame there isn't any of the old Cumbrian named Land Rover colours like Coniston Green, Eskdale Green or Keswick Green.
If it's the five door Defender 110 then I'll have it in Pangea Green with white wheels and roof.If van, then Tasman Blue with white roof.
-
White roof! Course I'm biased. I live nearer the surface of the sun than many other places and think the tan/white top FJ40s are pinnacle cool. Enjoy agonizing over the decision, this is a fun problem to have.
-
@anyunusedusername
If you live in a hot place. I wonder if the safari roofs of the old Series Landies would be of any good.
-
@streetsofperth oh I hate the silver wheel options on these for some reason. I'm not all about black wheels, but they just seem to work for me.
-
@shop-teacher I like the blue in person less than in photos oddly
-
@just-jeepin this is as colorful as it gets for these unfortunately
-
@rusty-vandura use those as they are. I have basically the same setup in M12 stuff, all three of those. The M12 sizing is better for tight spaces. But those are great and will last you a long time. I use the same but adapter you mention and have been for over a decade without breaking it.
-
@taylor-martin I rarely wash my cars, but white stays clean better than black!
-
@bison78 they don't offer red!
-
@svend the van is neat! We don't get them here though. I actually think I'm in the gondwana stone camp. But having the old defenders near and dear to my heart, I too miss the old color palette, greens in particular (epsom!)
-
@anyunusedusername I only want a white roof with white steelies, but you can't get air con seats on a 4cyl, plus the 6 is rated for better fuel economy and "hybrid" so "earth friendly"!
-
@svend I love the old safari tops! I've got a buddy who had an old 109 with a safari top. But it doesn't stay hot here for very long, and modern AC is fantastic so it's kind of moot from a functionality perspective
-
@amgtech I suspected as much. Iβd bet the designers are frustrated too.

REUNITE GONDWANALAND!!
