Likely the end of the season
-
I just got back from a little jaunt on my Zuma. We had a nice little indian summer (can you still say that?) over the last couple weeks. Before that it had been a particularly cold and wet fall. The cold front arrives in the next few hours, to return us to dreariness.

I got a lot of work done outside during this nice spell. Most of the leaves are down already, and bagged. The gutters are clean. Bushes trimmed back. Camper closed up.
I got the rear bumper and trailer hitch replaced on my truck. I did not get a chance to deal with its check engine light, or give it an oil change though.
Hopefully I'll get a ride here and there in over the coming months. Last winter I was able to ride at least once every month, except January. I'd love to get a ride each month in between now and March/April. But until then, the season is pretty much over.
Between my scooters, and riding the old gas out of my wife's seldom used Vespa, I rode about 3,500 miles this year. Not bad, considering I live less than five miles from work, and I haven't gone there nearly as often this season, as a normal one.

My goal for next season is 4,000 miles. Why? Because more riding, means more smiling.

For some reason NYD is always a good prospect for good enough weather to get outside in your area. Not sure what the historical odds are. In recent memory it was either below zero and awful (windy obviously) or 70 and sunny ( windy obviously).
-
@nomdeplume yeah, isn't that weird? Here it's either in the 50's+, or arcticly cold on NYD.

@Shop-Teacher That's a good deal of miles - especially on a scooter! I worked from home all year so only managed a weak like 700 miles this year.
I do love how those bags look on the hooligan
-
@jminer Thanks! The Hooligan got the bulk of the miles when I was going into the school regularly. Thanks to those bags, and its very large storage area, that puppy can haul a lot of stuff.
Funny thing, even though work is so close ... somehow it always took me 20-30 miles to get there and back on a scooter. Weird, huh?
-
@Shop-Teacher I don't imagine how that could possibly happen
