Hello! Good or bad idea
-
I have to buy something to play with. Came across a clean looking 2007 Trailblazer with 225k miles for cheap. It looks like it has half the miles interior and exterior wise.
Good idea or just walk away?
(I used to be iowndeadcarbrands and I drive a Buick TourX)

Do you have specific plans for it? It certainly has cheap and plentiful parts going for it.
-
Walk away. GMT360 bad.
-
@qaaaaa can you elaborate?
-
@opietheopel every person I know who’s owned a GMT360 platformed SUV has said not to buy one. Lots of electrical issues, the interiors fall apart, and the 4L60 (I believe all except the 6.0s had that) is a 4L60.
-
No personal knowledge but a friend who had a Trailblazer wasn't happy with a lot of little things going wrong with it and didn't recommend it. Sounds like he had the issues @Qaaaaa describes with electrical and interior. I don't think he had anything major like the 4L60 going bad though.

You want a vehicle to play with? Then get something more interesting than a Trailblazer. My suggestion is this Chevy Corvair for only $2800:

And given it's a 1973 model, it's probably a 450SLC... 4.5L of Mercedes V8 goodness! That is unless it's a Euro import... which would make it likely a 350SLC.
