What’s for dinner?
-
Oh heck yeah bud.
-
I had a banana.
It's weird: usually I overeat, but last night I had a mouth-wateringly-good steak from Texas Roadhouse, with baked potato, and today I've just had two bananas and a turkey sandwich. Which is nice, because I've gained 15 pounds since March and really need to get that under control.
-
Someday I'll try poutine.
I'm baking small gold and red potatoes in herbs and oil/butter. Main course is going to be a nice seared chicken beast.
-
@aestheticsinmotion Remember, if it doesn't have cheese curds it's not real poutine.

Spaghetti

Festive Special!

YOU'VE REMINDED ME THAT THEY CLOSED THE SMOKES 5 MINUTES FROM MY HOUSE AND NOW I'M SAD.
-
@jarrett I'd feel pity if I didn't have to drive three hours for Smoke's.
-
Salad. I felt like eating healthy this week so I've been on a salad kick. Sure there is cheese, a lot of dressing and a portion sized for a small family but it's salad. Also Chicken in the salad
-
@cb mmmmmm that looks tasty!
I made some chicken with Korean BBQ sauce, onions, tomatoes and red peppers in the oven...gonna eat it with some Indian bread now -
@jarrett That just means you can have more fun driving your car to the new location!
-
I almost ordered Poutine to give it a try (never ate one) but i ended up buying a pizza with bresaola, nuts, pecorino and mozarella.
Maybe next time.

I need to hit up Poutini's again. Hope they survive Covid...

@cb Since we're going back down to 30% indoor capacity on Monday, decided to go out to a great Italian restaurant near me for a final fling (they'll likely have to close for all but limited takeout, like they did last time). Nothing crazy, just caprese salad, chicken cacciatore, some mixed berry gellato, Moscow Mule, and a half bottle of chianti. But everything's so fresh and well made there, doesn't have to be fancy.
-
@italianjobr53 I wish I could derive any enjoyment out of driving anywhere in the GTA.
-
@cb I'll be honest I'm surprised there are any at all out west. lol
-
Tonight's supper was a real mish-mash. I got home late (went to fill up the van with gas and get some groceries). Everyone had eaten by the time I got home. It was dumplings, corn, noodles, leftover Ichiban, and ice cream for dessert. As soon as ice cream was mentioned, my nearly two year old kept grabbing my hand saying "Come on daddy, let's go. Let's go dad." and was trying to get me to get the ice cream from the freezer. What a kid.

-
@cb That looks absolutely amazing.
-
@cb
I had roast beef with mousaga, kale salad, some beet salad and an ijja ball
-
@cb I had a seasoned pork loin steak, cauliflower cheese, carrot and Swede mash and some thick gravy.
Washed down with some Earl Grey Tea from Vancouver COfL send me. It was bloody lovely.
