Guess where the compression went #2

Now that the intake cam is out, we can get a better idea what is going on.
One of the intake valves is different from the others. Note how it is sitting high? All I can assume is the valve seat has disintegrated allowing the valve to move up in the head.
Apparently it is a real bear to pull a head from a '07 Camry. I've found a used one for him 35 miles from his house for $222. I am not sure if he will attempt replacing it or let a shop do it.

What's uh... up with the roo bars on the Camry?
-
Got Roos, need bars. Got bandits, need bars. Got Camry, need bars to protect from The Dent.
-
@sn4cktimes so you got some on the rear bumper too?
-
@racinbob without the flat part breaking off the stem how would a valve come out farther? It's valve to head seal when they are closed so that is as far as it can come up at that point right? I mean you are looking for a new head so I guess it doesn't really matter how it's coming up higher unless that broken valve messed up a piston or cylinder wall...

He likes to drive at night in Iowa. White Tail Deer. He's hit about 4 of them since he got the bars.

@racinbob Venison instead of turkey for Thanksgiving sounds pretty good!

That's not a bad guess. Good eye!

@carsoffortlangley By the way, he says when coming up on cars on the interstate they tend to pull over. Apparently they think its one of the highway patrol Camrys....

@italia I agree with the question. Usually if the valve breaks off it would have destroyed the cylinder. All i can say I was told the bore and the piston are unmarked.
My only other theory is that the seat came apart and that is why it is higher. If not that, I got nothing.....
