      Partner and I both got identical new (used) laptops after finding a good deal on eBay. That makes five ThinkPad X1 Yogas in the house, so I figured I needed to differentiate mine somehow...

      Nothing could possibly go wrong...

      There are a few more bubbles than I'd like, but overall I'm pleased. Will probably order some more green vinyl and try again later, but this was my last matte green piece.

          @glemon I'd seen the page but never took the time to read the jokes. Savage. Favorite:

          The three position Lucas switch - Dim, Flicker and Off.

            @akioohtori not that too many Thinkpads is a thing but why do you need five (5) laptops for two people?

              @akioohtori That looks really nice (better if one knows nothing about Lucas). I assume you bought it pre-cut?

                  @akioohtori Noice! What kinda specs?

                  I bailed on Dēll last year (fan boi since 2000) and bought a P52s for myself and annoyingly couldn't spec it with an SSD at the time of purchase, so I added a 512GB M.2 980EVO Plus after the fact. It screams with 16GB RAM! I work with Carbon Fiber, so I picked up one of these precut vinyl jawns.
                  IMG_20201119_221118608~2.jpg

                  I had an F-16 on my last Dēll which was an Inspiron 15 (5587) with the dreaded ethernet port chassis crack adjacent to the hinge. When they knowingly pit that POS out there and then didn't help the long time customers, I bailed. One of the controls programmers at work turned my onto ThinkPads... Totally sold on them.

                  When it came time for a new work laptop this year, I had the IT boys grab me a P15s. It has a sweet graphics card so I can run Inventor on it and do marketing videos, too...no regrets.... No lid graphics yet, but I am looking for inspiration...

                    @essextee Between the two of us I think it is closer to 8 Thinkpads total... Because reasons?

                      @vincentmalamute Nah. I found one on Redbubble but I didn't like it, so I recreated the design.

                        It's pretty obvious why if you grew up in the IBM Thinkpad heyday. Such build quality. They were aspirational.
