[POLITICS] Fuck democrats for choosing Pelosi and Schumer again
-
The senate leader should've been Sherrod Brown (OH) or Jon Tester (MT)
The democrats need more people NOT from the coasts, especially California and New York. The coastal elite shit is doing so much damage!
Also, Pelosi previously said she wouldn't run for speaker again if Biden was elected, so that's a lie.
-
I totally agree. Both lack the empathy and have failed compromise to get legislation passed. Sad that this BS will continue and both parties are represented by people that are great grandparents.
-
Conversely, fuck republicans for keeping Mitch McConnell around so long. While we're at it, fuck Lindsay Graham too.

Mitch sucks, but Amy McGrath was a poor candidate. They should've voted for Mike Broihier instead.
Amy McGrath was handpicked by Schumer and the DNC. Charles Booker filed just before the deadline, 6 months after the other two filed, and he'd only get the cities Louisville and Lexington. Only Broihier, a farmer, could;ve gotten the crucial rural votes that kept McConnell in power for so long.
During the KY Senate debate, Mitch emphasized how he's the only major congressional leader not from NY or CA. Schumer is from NY, and Pelosi and Kevin McCarthy (house minority leader) are both from California.
Yes, while republicans suck, democrats are weak and can't or won't stand up to them. If Democrats understood the country is more than the coasts, they'd do a lot better.
That's why I liked John Delaney. The perfect ticket would've been Delaney/Gabbard.
-
@dogisbadob I like Delaney, but Gabbard's foreign policy views are a bit too concerning for me.

I'm pretty sick of the "coastal elite" schtick - cut it out. We're people too and represent a huge majority of the democratic coalition. If a rep from another state is awarded the leadership based on their qualifications, fine - but just because they're not from the coasts is a BS reason.
But I will agree that it is certainly time for new blood in those positions, especially House leadership. It's partially driven by the fear mongering from the other side, but regardless they have both been in their positions for too long and haven't been effective enough at getting stuff done and creating strong coalitions.
