@just-jeepin Just order it blind, it will be fine. It's not like you're gonna buy anything else.
You'll need to reprogram yourself to the better ride quality and interior. The driving experience isn't the same, although the crappy steering and wind noise should be familiar. You get used to the shifter and pedals and stupid gear ratios and the auto-start-stop. Don't get emotionally distraught by redlining 1st and 2nd on onramps, or cruising on the highway in 4th, or having to downshift to 3rd to pass.
Budget $2500 for a re-gear if you get bigger tires.
I haven’t paid much attention to old CJ values lately, is $13k reasonable for this?
I'd rather not the 'glass tub but it's certainly better than rust. Love they kept the snorkel cut hood though. I can't pay five figures for a Hurricane 4, but it seems clean. But I'm also more of an AMC Jeep fan with the later CJ-5 than the Willys and Kaiser stuff (at least to own).
@just-jeepin My dads brother was bedridden with polio for his adult life but that didn't stop his hankering for a Jeepster. So these have a soft place in my heart.
I figure its legit as the pictures match the location,. It looks like the pictures were taken last summer. My bet is it is an estate sale. I am not put off by the engine substitute. A straight Chevy 6 looks like a good match. At least it isn't an iron duke4 or a small block.
