@Powered_By_Howard Love it! The handwritten price schedules add real charm to the diorama, and the worn look of the signs gives it a lived-in feel. For the same reason, I like the slightly skewed label on the beer case.
Finished product. In addition to a Revell Jeep J10 kit I'm being gifted by a friend, I'm going to a collector to buy my first kit, promo or rebuilder built-up kit from his stash on Tuesday. Long live Modelopnik
1/24 scale weathered AMT '59 Cadillac Miller Meteor Futura ambulance, made to look like a sun baked, mostly surface rusted Inland Northwest "barn find" car with random worse corrosion in spots and random mismatched small parts inside, such as the steering wheel and rear wheels/all 4 tires.
Finished. I lightly weathered the body since there were a few ripples in my paint job and it is a malaise era square body truck with Oregon plates, after all. I also added a chainsaw case made from a JB Weld-filled Hot Wheels Rigor Motor coffin to fill out the cargo area before buttoning it all up, and finished the underhood with a washer fluid tank and brake cylinder/booster out of a parts kit to my next project.
@powered_by_howard I don't think the Ranger ever got that wheel, but Fox Mustangs did from 1990 onward, and F series maybe 1993-94-95 or so. I don't recall a kit of a later SHO, but I am not an expert.
Finished this build. It presented some challenges in the refit of the roof/glass/bumpers, but I don't think it turned out too bad.
I will not be adding a license plate because my simulated cast pewter "1991" year plate looks good enough to me and distinguishes it from the '92 promo with different nose/tail and dash that I plan to get and build up as well.
