I like 60s Cadillacs, though they certainly overcorrected from their years of tail finned flamboyance and became a very conservative car,* going from "strike a pose for the paparazzi" to "congratulations on being made partner" in the course of just a few years.
To my taste, GM's design language of the 70s was not kind to them, getting worse year over year, and of course the malaise era affected content as well.
*With the spectacular exception of the functional sculpture that was the early front-wheel-drive Eldorado; ranwhenparked shows a good example down thread.
