@DSM_OR_DIE you're right, RFID is a waste of time. You just need to barcode boop them on the way in and out.
Maybe wire the outbound scanner to a mixed nuts dispenser to train the monkeys end users to scan out their beers.
Could you suspend the tank from cables over pulleys and connected to a luggage scale style load cell off to the side?
