I've picked up both games. My son took an interesting in beamNG.drive and bought it. Planning to get some mods to we can play together. Picked up Automation as well just in case I feel the need to want to participate. Got a bunch of other games I play with people already. But at least I got the option to participate in the future.

Indeed it does. It's another layer of immersion, and I'd recommend anyone who gets VR for racing get a seat, wheel and pedals too. I was able to get my folding Playseat on sale for about $120, and it's been great. It folds with the wheel and pedals still on it.

@UpCreekwithShitPaddle I grabbed F1 2021 on sale a few months ago but have barely played it. I went in optimistically, turned all the assists off and am having quite a time trying to keep it on track. My last F1 game was 2010 on the Xbox 360 and it turns out I really need the freshen up my reflexes.

Anyway, I’ll play along if/when I can so count me in, any 2020 vs 2021 speed variation will probably be nullified by my lack of ability anyway. 🙂

@armith-vala If you play online a lot you'll probably want the latest one because it likely has the most active user base. I don't think 5 is a step forward from 4 at all in terms of gameplay or graphics. If you don't care about online play, then maybe choose the one with the location that appeals to you.

Well, poker night last night was a blast. It was just myself, my brother-in-law, nephew and my son - but we played until midnight.
Pizza, beer, and poker. Great night. This will be a regular thing going forward.

I wish. I was greeted by a blank frame (though it did have audio). I eventually got it to display after switching to a lower resolution, but it's still a terrible video, some guy meandering through the program without really providing helpful or concise guidance on how to play the game, why you'd want to make any specific choices, or how to get started.

@facw imo this game is not an RPG, its a looter shooter like borderlands with some extra flavor.
The glitches haven't bothered me so much, more like it feels like large swaths of content got cut for time restraints. Still feels on par with a lot of other AAA games, but not the witcher 3. This was supposed to be better than that game... Push the industry forward...

Maybe they will patch it back in later.

My son has saved up to buy one and we are helping him out. It’s not going well.
