I felt this way when we bought our Odyssey (built 30 miles away) and will feel this way if I buy a Santa Fe (built 80 miles away). Total coincidence, since local builds are not part of my buying criteria.
I also don't understand why factory delivery of "everyday cars" isn't a thing. Seems like an excellent way to build brand equity with motivated customers and help them save on some transport costs along the way.
