@Future-Next-Gen-S2000-Owner I generally think when I list something it will sell for 10-20% less then I am asking for it. Probably closer to 20% for cheaper stuff and maybe closer to 10% for more expensive. So a 30% less offer would look like potential to meet in the middle.
My thinking is everybody wants to feel like they got a deal. If I offer it for $50, I figure I'll take $40. It seems to work better with buyers than "price is firm".
I am with others the, I'll give you 50% of the asking price are just a bridge too far. I think some people just go out and offer a ridiculously low price for everything they see in hopes somebody bites.
If someone legitimately came over and offered 90% of asking, I'd probably take it. I get that I won't get full asking price but I'm not taking 2k off an 8500 purchase in a text.
@Roadkilled I had a buddy in High school with a 1992 LX 5.0 and I could easily gap him at any speed in my Datsun 240Z. It really baffled me as I thought the 5.0 was supposed to be quick. Then the speed limiter kicked in I think at 107 mph.
TIL the surround on the R33 sedan lights is body colour. i thought it was black/grey plastic, as the car is often in dark colours

I'm convinced that the whole thing is a joke. A '92 shouldn't have a "carborated" engine, nor a 2-speed trans anyway. Too bad he pretty much ruined almost everything that would have donor value as a parts truck. It's worth even less now than whatever his first price was.

@pip-bip oooh. anniversary, non-turbo AU-deliverd and with original stereo. oh hnnnnng digi dash!! god that's cool. 12k is a bargain, i do expect they'll one day be worth more than that. though they'll never climb to the heights of the 90s cars.
i prefer the two-tone on the earlier cars, the anniversary two-tone is a bit milder. still cool.

@exage03040 "Cat-back exhaust" rolls off the tongue so well, it's a shame that such a vague phrase caught on like it did. If you know, you know, but if you don't, it's all too easy to interpret as being with or without cats.
@wrong-wheel-drive He's gotta be using an automated scraper. I was looking through to see if my Mazdaspeed6 listing was picked up on the site, and it was. But so were a bunch of listings that were labeled as a Speed6, but were very clearly a normal Mazda6 (or an NC Miata in one case).
