@Just-Jeepin Merc please! I must admit, outside of aesthetics I don’t understand the Wagoneer hype, it’s just a slow and cushy SUV like many others. The Dodge would be my second pick, but that Mercury is beautiful.

@pip-bip That would be the odd-fire 3.8. Since they didn't use offset crank journals, the 120-degree firing order in a 90-degree block made for some vibrations. Even-fire came later, and is the good 3.8

If I could have the Park Avenue interior with the Bonneville exterior, I would be so happy. That said, I'm going Buick.

I never drove a 1982 LeSabre, but I did get to drive a 1982 Buick Regal Diesel. Acceleration was zero to - hey, it will get there eventually. It did have plenty of room and a soft ride. My sister lived in the Lincoln Park neighborhood of Chicago. Parallel parking that thing was a challenge, but I appreciated the stout bumpers. It was Chicago of the mid-90s and parking was urban warfare. As long as you didn't set off too many car alarms, you were doing fine.

@just-jeepin FWD, the heaviest convertible roof ever made. Someone told me that the roof mechanism has maimed many people trying to adjust it due to how it operates. They ride nice but too much Boss Hog for me.

@hfv eh... I honestly don't think so. The "gaze" of the headlights is more similar to the Enclave. the grille forms are identical from outline to details. the lower intake treatment is similar as well. Looks like the LaCross inherited some hood and side surfacing. It doesn't look to be on sale in the US any more...
