Like I don't like the piggy nose, but blacking the whole car out doesn't magically make it go away.

@WBizarre hmm, thanks for learning me! The E23 is a chassis I barely know. The car we were discussing is a 733 w some aftermarket or other bmw turbo.

@Throwaway I am a pretty big fan of Camissa and Harry's garage. I really like Harry's videos, it always seems like he would be doing whatever he is doing in his video's even if there wasn't a camera around. I haven't watched much of Evo's stuff, I'll have to check that out. Throttle House is a bit schticky for me but I usually watch their videos. I know there are people that don't like Matt Farah but I really like The Smoking Tire.

I like Savagegeese's stuff alot, it can be boring but after watching a few of their live streams they seem like good dudes, that makes their videos better for me.

@blacktruck18 The Throttle House review was the one that made it sound as though the manual was not well matched, but that the auto woke up the car. A few reviews I have read mentioned the auto was more raw and sporty, whatever that might mean.

I'm not an advocate of pure speed, per se, but the idea of buying a top of the line car and not getting top of the line performance from it would always bother me, personally. I certainly understand the draw of a manual, however.

It's funny, it's not a great looking car, but I find it much less offensive than the M3 and M4.

@HFV Yep, BMW's saying 3814 lbs (+53 for an automatic), which is ~200 lbs up or more from the previous gen depending on trim. Seems a strange move for the smallest car in the M lineup unless they're just sandbagging for later incremental improvements (Comp, CS, etc.).

I tried them (use them on my Hondas all the time!) but they hit the rubber lip under the bumper before they reach the tire. Low profile plastic ramps are $$$ and I already had the lumber...

@jayvincent If your German car had a French-blend engine like my 2nd-gen MINI, you can run your tank to near fumes and still keep going!

Also of note, I just had my car's high pressure fuel pump replaced (under extended warranty) for the second time in its life with only 111K miles on the clock... So, you know, it's still German...
