@stuckmtb Carvana offered me $9,450 or so for my 2016 Mazda6. I’d get $1,000 more if it didn’t have an accident in its history (a Chrysler Sebring rear-ended the 6 in 2018 and I had to get a new rear bumper). KBB trade-in is $10,835.
Carvana seems to be on the low-end for everything and they care more about cars having minor accidents in their history than local dealers do.
They sure weren't on the low end for my GTI. But it's in their wheelhouse - low miles, factory warranty remaining, squeaky clean history, dealer services all showing up on the CarFax. The one who lowballed me was Carmax - they only offered $15.5K. Vroom was the highest but, their pickup and payment timing sucked, would have basically had to pay for two more months of insurance, and worry that something would happen to it in the meantime.
