@stuckmtb Carvana offered me $9,450 or so for my 2016 Mazda6. I’d get $1,000 more if it didn’t have an accident in its history (a Chrysler Sebring rear-ended the 6 in 2018 and I had to get a new rear bumper). KBB trade-in is $10,835.
Carvana seems to be on the low-end for everything and they care more about cars having minor accidents in their history than local dealers do.
They sure weren't on the low end for my GTI. But it's in their wheelhouse - low miles, factory warranty remaining, squeaky clean history, dealer services all showing up on the CarFax. The one who lowballed me was Carmax - they only offered $15.5K. Vroom was the highest but, their pickup and payment timing sucked, would have basically had to pay for two more months of insurance, and worry that something would happen to it in the meantime.
Yes, you should. It's a very cheap investment that will help increase the life of your battery and prevent any unfortunate non-starting events. The car may start just fine each time you start it up but sounds like you're not running it nearly enough to top it back up. Just get a battery tender, plug it in, and be done with it.
@maximaspeed yup they are trying to fright back against BMW enthusiasts being pissed that they are shifting to making ev crossovers by effectively saying “times change old man.” Which is true, but that crossover ev won’t put a smile on my face as I’m banging rev limiter going sideways in the snow.
@hfv it's good they can keep the cost of the roof panel down using 3d printing, since you're forever having to throw them off at speed in the desert.
With that spoiler, it's obvious this is a throwback to the original Supra. It's also more overstyled than either existing Supras which makes me wanna vom.
Still pretty cool, definitely the version I'd have
@saracen Spicy Taek - The beaver tooth grille isn't nearly as problematic as the wheels. All I want is a base model in black with red calipers with some goddam proper polished goddam BBS forged wheels.
Fortunately it's fixable for ~$6k. You should make a sizable portion of that back by selling the stockers to somebody that wants to make their plebeian 320 appear more M-ish.
We'll have to agree to disagree, because I have no problem with the wheels. The entire design language of the car is spoiled by the front end.
Personally I'd rather go local and custom order some forged HRE's for that price.
@stuckmtb I have that same bike rake. I found at a thrift store for 1 dollar because the old lady didn’t know what it was. 2C1A94F7-6149-48F0-9177-D78ADFD5111B.jpeg ![3B6B7D66-CC40-4584-BB30-98A285E29446.jpeg]
