@pip-bip I actually love this car he's got a top for it too! It doesn't look quite as classy as an actual convertible but I love the whole vibe. Technically BMW didn't make a convertible either. I think Baur did them all back then.
@hfv I dunno. The oversaturated one has that whole 70s vibe going - turned up, as you say, to 11 - whereas the other is just any other forest green/BRG. Which is admittedly my favourite colour for a car, and suits the character of the M1 better than Iridescent Kermit. But it's not "Wow!"
@pip-bip@Qaaaaa I mean the floors in my Jaguar aren’t a great deal better. I had the passenger side floor pan replaced at great expense. And just discovered the other day the drivers side is much worse than when I checked it last.
@hfv and it's such a classy flex: No sponsorships, just wild artwork from relevant artists of the time, and somehow doesn't feel cynical as a lot of corporate patronage does. It also has high visibility: The race cars are watched and filmed with massive exposure. The non-racing art cars get... a press release? And then go straight to a museum.
