@skyfire77 there you go. I'm not opposed to the idea at all. I actually wanted to take the sleeper train to Chicago before things went to hell, but thats too much monies for a pleasure cruise abord something so confining.
@jminer Thanks to our hilly terrain, Pittsburgh has been using goats and donkeys to control invasive plants like honeysuckle, stilt grass and kudzu for a while now. We've got three or four places within the county offering goat landscaping.
@bbg2d I have a couple friends that ride auto bikes. They are cool, I've even owned a couple old hondamatics and LOVE scooters. That being said I do vastly prefer a manual motorcycle that revs high. I almost bought a NC700x but kept banging it off the rev limiter at every shift during a test ride and that bugged me so I bought a CB500x instead.
@ranwhenparked Quite a few Anglias/Populars got made into dragsters.
To the point I'd say the majority of those ever imported were imported because of very silly stock-body drag race rules. It's possible the one in his pic made it over here for that reason but was never visited by the drag fairy due to some events - or that it was a body spare, or was a dragster that somebody "undragged".
@qaaaaa Yeah, chickens are brutal. You should see what they do to newly introduced hens. There’s a whole socialization procedure you have to go through or else they’ll kill them. I had one chicken that would go an peck holes in their eggs even after they were socialized. She also hid her eggs to keep us from finding them. She was definitely an alpha. I’d love some goats, but I need more land (I live in the middle of Phoenix).
@aestheticsinmotion Gouda is excellent on a grilled cheese. Also works well in Mac and cheese. Fun fact, there's a town called Gouda in the Netherlands and it's full of cheese. I went there once last year and it was a neat place to visit.
@davesaddiction Quite possible, but they do sell a ton of larger ones too. I see 250 and 350 models around here all the time. I don’t think anyone has ever gotten the breakdown because Ford likes to say they sell the most trucks.
@montegoman562 As a Texas Tech grad and Ok State friends I feel both schools are going to be hosed. At least as far as football is concerned. All the other sports/competitions will still do okay as the tournament selections lend it self to selecting the best from all colleges not just the "money" conferences.
your best hope should be that the big12 reloads and pulls in big names, or that that AAC picks up all the big12 big names and drops a bunch of schools and catapults themselves into a power 5 role.
If the AAC became:
They'd probably have a legit argument to be considered a Power 5 conference, it would certainly be the death of the big 12. It's basically that or the big12 has to pull in stuff. No reason they can't convince some of these schools to move to an established power 5 conference in the big12 though. And I really think if BYU is going to have a chance to sneak into a power 5 conference this is their shot.
Interesting read. I was at the doctor's office this morning and we had a short chat about the perception of time. It was prompted by me saying I've entered the phase of my life where time is speeding up. Funny coincidence.
It's interesting that we are rate-limited to 1/10th of a second. I skimmed the article and didn't see if they said anything about that changing with age. I did see them mention a fellow being fired because his observation time didn't match the researcher's. I wonder how much of that was being driven by their difference in age.
I've been thinking about the recent videos clarifying that gravity is not a force, but a function of space-time and our movement through it.
These helped me realize that in order to function, any anti-gravity device will have to warp space-time or directly affect the flow of time. The implications of this make my brain feel uneasy.
Absolutely! That project actually started when my daughter asked whether her lights worked like on our cars. Let me know if you want to compare notes; I got the lighting kits from ML Toys and got a little creative to find a mounting solution to get the LEDs to sit in the center of the spots.
