@gmporschenut-also-a-fan-of-hondas lol, the first comment:
nothing screams safety like a rapidly spinning axe on a giant wheel next to all sorts of loose rope
The fine men and women keeping this place humming
Dunno why, but I do enjoy planning things. It was kinda spur of the moment to even propose a meet today.... but I think it's a good idea.
Day 1 is more or less solidified imo with shipwrecks, historical buildings and awesome Pacific Coast roads. I have worked in an optional 4x4 aspect to the drive as you are allowed to drive on the beach where we'll have lunch, but it's close enough to parking that others can just park on pavement.
I booked a Yurt for $65, which is a decent deal for the first night.
I am considering trying out an event page this time around....
@wrong-wheel-drive Another option can be a hip pack. I, too, hate riding with something on my back, but a fanny pack doesn't bother me. I ride with an Osprey Serial 4l hip pack for longer MTB rides. I haven't ridden with it on the road bike, but I see reason it wouldn't work.
