@phenotyp Glad to hear it! I do try to pick the most interesting of the bunch, while maintaining a healthy variety. Sometimes I do share more than one rust post per roundup, but if I were to commit to a weekly "obligatory rust post", I'd have a hard time picking a favorite. Y'know, come to think of it, there has been an occasion or two where I couldn't make up my mind and shared multiple brake or tire posts.
At any rate, I'd encourage y'all to keep an eye on the JRitS subreddit throughout the week. There's so much more that you miss out on if you're just waiting for my roundups haha.
@jb-boin Ooh, fancy. Looks great, but still in search of a solution to compose once and publish here and to DT with minimal changes. The DT guys said they wanted to make it easy for us, so maybe they'd build something to make "shares" to their platform from here quick and painless.
@shop-teacher The plan was to go this year, my company gets cheap tickets so wanted to take the Wife to the big show. Hope we can go next year, appreciate the advice!
Sounds like me and NASCAR, growing up no one except for my grandpa watched. He wouldn't watch it with me out of fear of me learning new words... lol. My parents couldn't understand why I liked it, but I was drawn to Gordon, Martin, Harvick, Kenseth. All those guys racing at these crazy tracks and hearing DW, Larry Mac, and of course Mike Joy.
And look at some of the airframes that came out of that era that are still in service around the world:
F-4 Phantom (not with USAF, though)
SR-71 Blackbird : Supposedly not in service. Neither is the F-117, right? 😉
AV-8B Harrier II
All amazing achievements originally designed with slide-rules and protractors !!! Insanity.
