@ibRAD I employed two different strategies. It was obvious that they hadn’t written the assignment themselves.
Strategy 1: Intimidation.
Strategy 2 (for the hardos): The student’s writing dramatically improved in a week, and when I asked them to rewrite as much as they could by hand, it was completely nonsensical (this was a small, one page assignment).
I told both students I applaud them for their creative use of technology, but this doesn’t really work when your teacher has been reading your work for almost two years, and actually gives a shit.
I have another suspected paper. I asked the kid to send me a digital copy so I could run it through a program. He played cool, but has yet to send me the file.
