@engineerwithtools There were plenty of times I wished we were in a hotel instead of at my grandparent's house (or cousin's or uncle's). Sleeping on the floor or on a couch might have been fun as a 3-yr-old, but it definitely lost its luster after I became a teenager.

@nomdeplume That happened to my original burner. At some upgrade it dropped my account. So I made a full-fledged one. Then it stopped working on the FP. Not because I did anything dumb, but just stopped. But by that point I was far deeper into Oppo than Jalp. So meh, no shits given.

Final Cut Pro here too, bought it once years ago and it’s been steadily and massively improved for free ever since.
Not saying it’s right for everyone but it works great for me. iMovie is a useless toy I tried for 5 minutes once before moving on.
Glad to hear there are more free/cheap options nowadays.

Now they use a cartridge filter necessitating a new tool and if it strips you're really fucked.

Agreed-kind of overstates the risk. EVs have a far far lower fire rate than gas cars (as a percentage, and of course as a total since ~1% of cars in the US are electric).

Apparently there are ~171K highway fires in a year in the US... and wikipedia has a article detailing every recent EV fire (it's a handful a year at most). Batteries need care sure, but gas is pretty flammable haha.

The recalls thing is also a bit misleading... My friend's Impreza had several major engine recalls in one year that listed "potential engine failure" but that's not the same as saying the car exploded on the side of the road. (in fact, taking it to have said recalls notwithstanding, it ran excellently)

@carsoffortlangley I had the chance to get one on the cheap once but the ride was unacceptably harsh and I passed. This with brand new Bilstein shock absorbers. Also, it was a manual with an extremely high friction point that made it difficult to drive.

Yep, and you can remove text from the editing window to control how much of the previously quoted material you carry over, like this. You can keep the entire conversation train or cut it down. If you have a long exchange though, eventually you will reach the maximum number of nested quotes you can include. It helps keep conversations in order though.

@midengine Ah, that's a clever way to mount it! No front plates are required here in Nova Scotia! That's decided per-province, so some provinces and territories require front and rear, but NS doesn't!
