Hatchbacks aren't that much better either, they usually share the same low roof and sloped door profile as the sedans.

What I'm saying is: CUVs are better for a young family. Why live with the literal pain in the back when you don't have to?

Besides, modern CUVs can be fun to drive. The CX-9 was shockingly good, and that's a 3 row behemoth. Granted, a small hatchback is probably more fun, but the "Family CUV" isn't necessarily the penalty box they used to be.

Always good to have an OE setup you can get parts for to do such a swap. Who knows, maybe you'll come across a wrecked All4 for cheap and be able to scavenge the parts to make it happen!

@hfv You say that but it's amazing how disorganized some people are. It might end up with the stack of newspaper to be used as toilet paper or it might end up in your child's doodle stack. If it got torn up and you taped it back together, then you'd have a rebuilt title.

@rusty-vandura If that user has customized what folders are shared, they might have to go in and check the folder you just shared in order for it to sync. The only other reasons would be that person is signed out/not connected to the internets.

Hmm tough one. This is one that looks ok but to fetch the big dollars, it probably still needs everything. If you're in it for the build or the car NP. If you're in it for the money, you'll probably only break even maybe slightly better.

I guess the question comes to how obsessed is she about everything working. As long as the HVAC, safety gear, drivetrain and radio works, who cares if there is electrical tape over the check engine light or the seat adjuster doesn't run. $5k isn't a lot of downside as long as she isn't a perfectionist. Tell us more.....

@pip-bip I did it a few times in the Golf, but that's a hatch. I didn't have to remove seats to do that, but it leaked fluids everywhere when I did it in that car. I just opened the door and threw it in. Getting it out was a bit of tetris, though.

That's the thing, though: I actually care about the folks who stayed and wish them well. Most of my best work is on that website and I am absolutely livid at the ad-ridden hellhole the herbs want to turn it into.

A nice start would be yeeting Spanfeller onto a nearly inaccessible island with no internet access and taking over the website, but y'know.

@amoore100 Build quality was questionable in places from what I know, but nothing too horrendous. These days they're often killed off by the fact many replacement parts are unobtainium, at least in Europe. I've heard of bits in the four wheel drive system wearing out (shafts, joints, bushings) and there's just nothing to replace them with. 😞
